Solutions (SMC-PVT) is implementing a project,
“Linking Brick Kiln Women Workers with Formal Health Care System”, of Health
& Nutrition Innovation Fund (HANIF), managed by Palladium and funded by the
Department for International Development (DIFD). The aim of this initiative is to
create awareness among brick kiln women workers regarding benefits of seeking
formal medical services rather than relying on traditional healing techniques
and approaching quakes. The project involves setting up Primary Health Care
Satellite (PHCS) at four brick kiln clusters located in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
The four PHCS will be established in collaboration with and under supervision
of the Punjab Department of Health and the Brick Kiln Owners Association of
Pakistan (BKOAP). The PHCS will both create health awareness among brick kiln
women workers and also cater to their basic health care needs. Moreover, the
DIS will carry out advocacy with the Punjab Health Department to scale-up this initiative.Under
this project the DIS intend to develop a database to record information of
patients as described in section Scope of work
Duties and Responsibilities
Scope of Work:
Under this RFP the
bids are required for the development of web based database along with a web
application that could be accessed from any computer. Data entry is a key part
of this database, and it should have a user friendly Graphical User Interface
(GUI). The main scope of work is to build a complete web application with
relational Database Management System.
Required Skills and Experience
A Content Management System that will permit non-technical staff to instantly update web application content.
Reporting Tool for generating reports using the data from database.
Provide search capabilities using key words or phrasing that will identify content from throughout the site.
The Web based Database will provide access to the stakeholders, enabling them to effectively monitor the level of access of brick kiln Women workers and their families to PHCS, and referral status to the nearby BHUs.
The access to this database will be at both project offices, and also remotely from the four PHCS locations.
Database will provide certain viewing rights to stakeholders though password protection, for them to see reports (table and graphs) regarding flow of patients at the four PHCS.
Database will also record basic disease/illness information of all PHCS visiting patients. While protecting the individual identity of the patients, the disease profile, and medication of incoming patients entered and analyzed.
The data base will have security feature that will protect the identity of each patients protected and unable to be access by unauthorized person.
The data base will have firewalls and encryption to protect the database from any hacking
Data base must ensure all international standards to protect the identities of the patient from unauthorized viewing of patients identities.
Provide initial training and all necessary support & support documentation to the designated DIS staff for their easy handling of the database.
